AUSTRALIA'S TOP ACCESSIBLE HIKING TRAILS
Some of the most stunning and well-known nature trails in the world can be found in Australia, and many of them are wheelchair-accessible. So, if you're looking for adventure, breathtaking sights, and time in nature, we've got you covered. Some of Australia's top easily accessible nature trails are listed below, organized by state.
VICTORIA
LAKE TRAIL
More than just a convenient footpath is available on the Lake Trail that circles Lake Karkarook. A wheelchair-friendly boat and canoe mooring area, an accessible fishing jetty, and a lovely picnic spot with open-sided tables are all present.
GRAMPIANS NATIONAL PARK
The Grampians in northwest Victoria are well recognized for their boundless views, mysterious gorges, and magnificent waterfalls. There is a 1-kilometer accessible pathway that leads to the viewing platform at the Bluff for the best views of the Mackenzie Falls (and perhaps one or two rainbows). It is necessary to reserve TrailRiders in advance.
DANDENONG RANGES
The Dandenong Ranges, which stretch from Victoria's east coast to the north-western Grampians, are renowned for their bird feeding places and, of course, for the birds that live there. In the adjoining Margaret Lester Walk, which is intended for those with restricted mobility, as well as the accessible Grants Picnic Ground, you may see Rosellas, Galahs, Cockatoos, and occasionally even a Lyrebird. It is necessary to reserve TrailRiders in advance.
